Dedication:

I dedicate the philosophy and related works of Energy Filament Theory to my children, whom I have never forgotten: Yiyi Tu and Tutu Tu. Our parting ten years ago was the starting point of my gaze into deep space. In the years to come, I will continue to question the truth of the universe, searching for where you have gone.

Open Letter | Why I Continue to Research EFT

Dear friend,

If this is your first time here, you may wonder why someone would spend so much time redrawing the underlying picture of vacuum, particles, light, fields, forces, quantum phenomena, the universe, Black Holes, and boundaries.

My answer is simple, and deeply personal: I study EFT not for fame or profit, but because I must continue asking what the universe truly is.

I. Where This Research Comes From

EFT did not begin as an attempt to “oppose” anyone. On the contrary, I have always respected the immense achievements of modern physics: relativity, quantum theory, the Standard Model, and modern cosmology are all extraordinarily precious summits of human reason.

These systems are extremely successful in their respective domains and have powerful computational reach. Yet at the level of the deeper physical picture, many concepts remain disconnected from one another. Vacuum is treated like empty ground, particles like points, fields like invisible entities suspended in space, forces like hands reaching across distance, quantum theory like a probability oracle, and cosmology as though viewed from a God’s-eye position outside the universe.

What EFT tries to do is to lay that Base Map anew.

II. What EFT Is

EFT is a grand-unification framework that starts from a single underlying mechanistic map and attempts to connect microscopic particles, light and propagation, fields and forces, quantum measurement, the macroscopic universe, Black Holes, Silent Cavities, boundaries, origin, and end state. It does not add another patch to the old picture; it begins again from more upstream questions: what the universe is made of, how change propagates, how structures form, and how readings appear.

The starting point of EFT is very sparse. At its core are only two axioms:

From these two axioms, fields can be read as Sea-State Maps, forces as Gradient Settlement, light as Relay Propagation across a continuous substrate, quantum measurement as threshold-based settlement, and the macroscopic universe as the Relaxation Evolution of Sea State over long timescales.

III. Why I Think EFT Has Probably Found the Right Direction

I will not turn “probably found the right direction” into “has already completed every proof.” Experimental verification, observational testing, mathematization, and peer review all take time.

Still, I believe EFT has probably grasped the right underlying direction, and the reason is not mysterious: with very few foundational assumptions, it explains an enormous span of phenomena.

Science, of course, cannot win on “simplicity” alone. But when a framework explains more phenomena with fewer assumptions and connects its mechanism chain from the microscopic to the macroscopic more coherently, Occam’s razor asks us to take it seriously.

“Fewer assumptions + stronger explanatory power + a clearer falsification path” is itself a signal worth pursuing. Even if EFT is falsified in the future, it will still leave behind important gains in understanding and methodology.

IV. Its Relationship to Mainstream Physics

I do not believe EFT must appear under the banner of “overthrowing everything.” Mainstream physics remains effective across many windows; it is like a high-precision engineering language that calculates results accurately. EFT is more like a Mechanistic Base Map, asking how the physical reality behind those results actually runs.

The relationship between EFT and mainstream physics should therefore not be reduced to an emotional opposition. A more reasonable formulation is this: where mainstream theories already calculate accurately, EFT must reduce to the same results; where mainstream theories require patches, show explanatory breaks, or face clusters of anomalies, EFT tries to offer a more unified underlying reading.

V. On Peer Recognition

I respect peer review and welcome professional criticism. But I will not spend my main energy on first seeking endorsement from any particular status or identity. For a million-word-scale theory that crosses multiple fields, responsible recognition must be built on understanding, tracing the chain of claims, cross-checking, and testing—not on names, circles, or a hurried verdict.

So I will continue to put my time into more important work: going deeper into the universe’s underlying operating mechanisms and, when resources allow, advancing falsifiable experiments and observational tests.

Let “recognition by the academic community” be left to evidence, and to time.

VI. An Invitation to Readers

I do not ask you to believe EFT immediately. I would rather have you test it. You can first download the EFT Knowledge Base of the Underlying Operation of the Universe and let an AI help you organize it, compare it, question it, and look for errors.

Valuable scientific discussion is not decided by who speaks louder, but by which Base Map explains more, assumes less, makes its risks more transparent, and better withstands time and review.

With my sincere thanks,
